You still get the sensors but might lose some of the post-processing if it’s done within the Pixel stock ROM, or has some dependency that isn’t available outside their image.

Man I hope they win. That was my only gripe with running Graphene when I had a Pixel. If I could have tap to pay and normally-functioning bank apps without having to enable compatibility features I would switch back in a heartbeat.

That mid-life debloat is something I really need to do on my device and it isn’t even a year old. I can’t imagine having to debloat a 6 y/o device with the way I don’t clean up applications.

My bet is that devices aren’t getting the new update due to age, rather than willfully neglecting to install the update. My Nvidia Shield TV 2017, for example, caps out at Android 11 unless I throw Lineage on it, and even then that only brings it up to 13.

I got used to this with Waze. Honestly, it’s not distracting or annoying enough to get upset over. Plus, they only appear when the vehicle isn’t moving.
